PC Pandora Christmas Giveaway
How much time has your child spent online during the Christmas break? If you are the type of parent who monitors your child’s activities closely, then I am sure that you would know the exact answer to my question. If, however, you have been too busy to keep tabs on your children, then you might want to reconsider and spend a little more time on keeping track of what they are doing. The truth is that online safety is one of the most overlooked aspects of school safety. Sometimes, we become so complacent that we do not really put much attention on what our kids do online.
In my book – though I am sure there are many who think otherwise – it is not a matter of control or snooping. After all, we are still parents and it is our job and duty to guide our children as they grow up. As long as they are living under my roof, then I think that I am entitled to certain measures to ensure that they are going in the right direction.
One way to make sure that your children are safe online is to install security measures on your computer – and perhaps, if they have their own computer, on their units as well. This kind of software was actually brought to my attention by a comment in one of my posts. KenS from PC Pandora said:
Parents totally don’t understand… not yet. But we are hoping to change that.
I strongly urge all parents to check out and learn about the various ways in which this tool can help you keep your kids safer online. From helping to deter cyberbullying to preventing your child from visiting certain websites and talking to strangers, monitoring software gives you the control back in your house. It gives you all the knowledge you need about your child’s Internet activity so that you can be a more effective and better informed 21st century parent.
PC Pandora is a kind of monitoring software that will allow you to see exactly what is going on in any computer that you install it on. This might be viewed as privacy invasion by some but again, I think that it is acceptable for parents to do this in order to help ensure children’s safety.
The good news is that PC Pandora is giving away free copies of the software! It normally costs about $100 I think but for this period, you can download the free version and get the registration key for absolutely free. I suggest that you try it out and see how it goes for you.
